Founded in 2011 by French tanguero Hubert Tassin, Bangalore Argentine Tango has grown into one of India’s largest and most respected tango communities, recognized internationally for its quality and authenticity.
From the beginning, its approach has been grounded in sensitivity, elegance, and technical precision, with a strong focus on genuine connection in the tango embrace.
True to the spirit of Argentine Tango, the school promotes social tango by fostering a warm, respectful, and inclusive community.

"Banglore Queer Tango is a safe-space for queer, trans*, genderfluid and non-binary personslooking to be part of a community that embraces each other in dance and with respect.
BQT, started in the early 2023, is a space where members of the queer community in Banglorecome together to learn tango, a dance form created by the immigrant and working classcommunity in/around Bueno Aires, Argentina in the late 19th century. We are working towardsbuilding a queer tango community that is anchored in queer visibility, expression and joy.
While our learning space is exclusively for the members of the queer community, our Milongas and Practicas (unless specified otherwise) are open to queer allies."
